Preview
Serbia has qualified for the European Championship for the first time in more than two decades, and their last appearance was under a different flag. After the completed dissolution of Yugoslavia in 2006, the Serbia national team failed to qualify for four straight EUROS.
Yugoslavia boasted a pair of 2nd place finishes back in 1960 and 1968. Their last appearance in the EURO was in 2000, and they made it to the quarterfinals in that tournament.
England lost on penalties to Italy in EURO 2020, and England fans will be praying that none of their matches go to penalties in this tournament.

Serbia will consider this a favorable draw in Group C, with England the clear favorite at -250. Slovenia is projected to finish last but second place is very much up for grabs with Denmark priced at +400 and Serbia priced at +800.
The England squad will be very familiar with Serbian striker Alaksandar Mitrovic, who scored 14 goals in the Premier League with Fulham last season. He was the leading scorer in the Nations League with six goals in five matches. He’s played just eight games in the Saudi Pro League, but has scored eight goals.

Harry Kane is now 30 years old, but his 33 goals in 30 matches for Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga would indicate that he still has plenty in the tank. Jude Bellingham has been a superstar for Real Madrid this season, totaling 17 goals in 25 matches.
After going all the way to the Final in EURO 2020, England has an equally formidable squad heading into this year’s tournament. At a price of just +300 they are the odds on favorite to win the championship.

England has too much talent for the Serbians to handle, but Mitrovic will get them on the board in a 3-1 defeat.
