Connecticut has the required rebounding and a secret weapon to stay within this large point spread against Atlanta.

The Dream are the No. 1 defensive rebounding team in the WNBA. Angel Reese is tied for first in rebounds per game. The Sun, however, lead the league in total rebounds and steals.

Brittney Griner is back healthy for Connecticut and can neutralize the Dream on the boards, while providing an inside scoring presence.

The Sun just activated Leïla Lacan, a French star who was selected as finals MVP in the La Boulangère Wonderligue. That is the top tier women's professional league in France. Lacan greatly upgrades Connecticut's backcourt.

I don't believe the oddsmaker has accounted enough for Griner and Lacan so I find value backing the underdog.

You can do a lot worse than go Over on a Nationals game. The Over is 38-20-3 in Washington's games this season. That is 65.5 percent!

I see that trend continuing here with the Marlins set for a bullpen game and Washington giving the ball to the egregious Miles Mikolas.

The Nationals have that perfect combination for being a great Over team. They lead the majors in runs with an excellent blend of power and speed. But their pitching is terrible and their fielding is the worst in the league.

Miami is expected to open with Lake Bachar. He hasn't pitched more than 2 1/3 innings in a game all season. The Nationals are averaging 5.5 runs during their last seven games.

Mikolas is 1-4 with a 5.72 ERA and only 32 strikeouts in 50 1/3 innings. The Nationals have a bottom 10 bullpen.

There is not a lot to like about the Royals especially when they are on the road as they are here.

Kansas City is 4-16 in its last 20 games (20 percent) despite beating the Reds Monday night. The Royals are 8-20 on the road. They have scored the fewest runs when playing away from home and also have the fourth lowest batting average as a visitor.

Reds starter Andrew Abbott is going through his best stretch this season giving up just four earned runs in his last five starts.

Royals starter Noah Cameron hasn't been nearly as good as he was his rookie season last year. He has a 4.61 ERA. Kansas City is 1-8 during his last nine starts.

Cameron can't expect any help from a bullpen that has the second highest ERA in the majors at 5.08.
